NewsA warm Portobello welcome to all new players and parents. There are a number of points to note about Portobello Hornets Mini Section for both players and parents alike. All Coaches are 'Disclosure (Scotland) accredited and SRU qualified coaches. Membership to the youth section is payable in one annual payment of £30 for a child and a further £10 per sibling. Alternately, £70 will get you a family membership. Once subscriptions have been paid we kit out all players in tops, shorts and socks. We also offer a subsidised tracksuit deal to members where you can also a branded training top and bottoms for £15, these are also available separately. One of the benefits of becoming a member is the use of the clubhouse, (currently being refurbished after a fire in May). The family membership will also entitle you to hire the clubhouse for any events. I have attached details of September's schedule below:
Training at Cavalry Park be there for 1230 start.
Away fixture for P4 to P7 teams at Murrayfield, be there for 1230. The P3 team will train at Cavalry Park for a 1230 start.

Away fixture at Livingston, please note this is an 1100 kick off. All teams, P3 to P7, will be involved, please speak to your coach for travel instructions.
Penicuik tournament speak to your coach for travel details. I will confirm time by e-mail. I expect all teams to be involved for our first tournament of the season. Please note that the P3 team may not be playing for medals.
Tuesdays and Thursdays 1800 to 2000. We encourage all P4 to P7 players to attend mid week training and especially Sunday training at 1230. The P3 team should attend Sunday training and only attend mid week if available.
A number of parents have enquired about buying club merchandise, please contact myself if interested in any Portobello branded t-shirts, bags, etc.
